MONROE – An assisted living facility employee was arrested for allegedly stealing residents’ credit and debit cards and using them to make purchases for herself.

Princess Sanu, 22, of Hightstown, an employee at Chelsea at Forsgate, was connected to five instances of allegedly using residents’ credit or debit cards. She was issued summonses for credit card theft and fraud, police said.

Police believe about $2,700 was stolen from residents.

Monroe police were notified on Aug. 10 that a resident at Chelsea at Forsgate claimed to have had their debit card defrauded, police said.

An investigation was initiated with a detective assigned to the case.

An investigation led to Sanu, an employee at the facility, being identified as a suspect.

The case now goes to court, police said.
