The Department of Agriculture and Governor Pete Ricketts announced Monday a new branding campaign to highlight Nebraska’s agricultural companies, ranchers, and farmers.

The campaign is mostly electronic but allows Nebraska companies to have a larger platform to promote their services.

“Basically, each company gets one page dedicated to their company, they can provide all the information they want to whether it’s about the history of their company, where they’re located in Nebraska, the sales contact information is, and the products they offer and where they’re going to offer those,” says Director of Agriculture Steve Wellman.

The campaign is called ‘Nebraska: Straight from the Good Life,’ and Ricketts and Wellman say it will be used during trade missions worldwide to provide information to potential customers on a variety of Nebraska’s agricultural companies.

Ricketts says the branding tool will only take our state’s success in agriculture a step further.

“In Nebraska, we are known for agriculture, its the heart and soul of what we do. We want to continue to promote agriculture whether it’s through the state fair or through our ‘Straight from the Good Life’ branding program to be able to grow agriculture here in our state,” Ricketts said Monday morning.

The Department of Agriculture says they have about 30 businesses who have applied to be part of the program, but are looking for more. For more information, and to apply, visit here.
