TUPELO, Miss (WTVA)- The Arc of Northeast Mississippi is putting together baskets for Halloween for kids who are not able to trick or treat because of coronavirus.
Cheryl Fanlzone is the director of The Arc of Northeast Mississippi and she said it was a joint idea to make the Halloween baskets; she hopes the baskets will put a smile on someone’s face,”Depression is setting in people cannot get together.”
Cassidy Hooper, the Community Navigator for the Autism Now Division for the Arc of Northeast MS, says since the coronavirus has canceled many actives the baskets are a good idea,”People not being able to trick or treat and stuff like that.”
Falzone is selling the baskets and splitting the money between the arc of northeast Mississippi and the regional rehab center. They are also raffling off a basket filled with 150 dollars of Halloween goodies,”One of our cool solutions is a happy for Halloween to make children and their parents a little happier.”
